August 2026
Here are the latest updates and improvements to Cin7 Core for August 2026.
Amazon
Japan stock level updates
Stock levels now sync reliably from Cin7 Core to Amazon Japan for listed products. Previously, some Amazon Japan listing reports returned Japanese column headers that Core couldn't read, so stock updates were skipped for the affected SKUs.

B2B & RMA
Custom domains for B2B and RMA
We've made changes to our B2B and RMA portals for custom domains. Previously, you had to upload an SSL certificate. Now, you can upload your DNS record (TXT and CNAME). New portals use the updated Cin7 domain setup by default.
If you already had a custom domain, you will need to reconnect to ensure your portal keeps working. We also no longer support apex custom domains (e.g. abc.com, abc.co.uk, abc.co.au). You will need to add a subdomain to your custom domain.

Cin7 Pay
Automated email notifications for Cin7 Pay account requirements
Merchants now receive an automated email when their Cin7 Pay account has outstanding requirements. The email directs them to the Cin7 Pay admin (Core > Money > Cin7 Pay) to view and resolve any action items. Notifications are only sent for fully onboarded accounts.
29 August 2026
Manage Cin7 Pay payment methods
You can now manage payment method availability directly from the Cin7 Pay admin page using the new Payment Method Settings tab. Changes apply at checkout in real time, with payment methods tailored to your country.
29 August 2026
Accounting for Cin7 Pay fee refunds
Cin7 Pay now automatically handles the accounting when a processing fee is refunded. Core creates a manual journal that credits the processing fee account and debits the payments clearing account for the refunded amount.
29 August 2026
Customers
Default contact validation for customer imports
Customer contact CSV imports now allow only one contact to be marked as Default per customer. Any imported record that would create multiple default contacts is rejected and shown as an invalid line.

Ecommerce
Order reference links open integration logs
You can now click the Order Ref link in Product > Movements > Show availability changes for orders from Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Lightspeed (Vend), WooCommerce, or Magento2 and go straight to the related Integration > Logs entry with the reference prefilled. This also fixes reference links for Amazon marketplace stores, which previously showed an error. This applies to new orders and availability changes only; links created before this update are not changed.

ForesightAI
ForesightAI settings now in Cin7 Core
Manage your ForesightAI experience seamlessly all from within Cin7 Core! You can adjust and refine your forecast, products, suppliers, warehouses, and more. All of your existing settings are automatically migrated.
29 August 2026
Manage saved forecast adjustments
You can now open the Manage adjustments page from the Sales Forecast graph to see all your saved forecast adjustments in one place. Search and filter by product, location, category, or note, and review, edit, or delete adjustments from the list.
29 August 2026
Numeric validation in ForesightAI product fields
Numeric fields on the ForesightAI Products tab, such as MOQ, packing quantity, and minimum and maximum inventory, now validate the values you enter instead of converting long numbers to scientific notation. You are prevented from entering values beyond the allowed length.
29 August 2026
Profit renamed to Gross Margin
On the ForesightAI Product strategy settings and the Winners & Losers page, the Profit strategy and its metrics are now labeled Gross Margin. When your strategy is set to Gross Margin, the Profit (USD) and Share in profit columns are renamed to Gross Margin (USD) and Share in gross margin.
29 August 2026
Products
Price tiers based on highest supplier cost
You can now calculate price tiers using the highest latest or highest fixed supplier price to maintain stable margins across multiple suppliers. Select specific suppliers to include in these calculations using the new Include in pricing option on the product supplier tab.
29 August 2026
Product additional attributes for make-to-order items
You can now access and edit the Additional Attributes tab for products using a make-to-order bill of materials.
29 August 2026
Purchases
Separate permission for purchase attachments
A new permission, Purchases - View other users' attachments, lets admins control whether users can view and interact with attachments added by other users. The existing Purchases - List & Tasks permission is unchanged and still controls access to a user's own attachments. For existing roles, the new permission inherits the current Purchases - List & Tasks setting, so there is no immediate change in behavior.

QuickBooks
Intuit Enterprise Suite connections
Cin7 Core now detects whether you are connecting an Intuit Enterprise Suite (IES) organization or a standard QuickBooks Online organization, and handles the connection accordingly. Previously, every Intuit connection was treated as QuickBooks Online, with no way to tell an IES organization apart.
29 August 2026
QuickBooks Online integration token expiry
We have introduced proactive monitoring for your QuickBooks Online integration to track refresh token expiry. You will now receive in-product notifications and email alerts before your connection expires, allowing you to reauthenticate from the accounting menu and avoid any sync disruptions.
29 August 2026
QuickBooks Online Connect Wizard improvements
We have updated the QuickBooks Online Connect Wizard to remove the redundant inventory tracking toggle and provide clearer guidance on syncing items. You will now see a conditional advisory message that helps ensure your inventory tracking settings in QuickBooks Online are correctly configured for a successful sync.
29 August 2026
Reports
Customer Reference in more Sales reports
You can now add the Customer Reference column to the Sales Backorder Details, Sales Backorder Summary, Sale Profit Summary, Sales by Product Details, and Sales by Product Summary reports.
Add it from the report's available fields panel to include it in your layouts, exports, and scheduled reports. Existing report layouts stay unchanged unless you add the field.

Sales
Margin calculation for drop shipment products
You can now rely on accurate margin calculations for drop shipment products. For items always dropshipped, margin is calculated using the last purchase price, or the fixed supplier price if no purchase has occurred, and average cost is no longer used. For optional drop shipment products, the margin source depends on fulfillment method: dropshipped items use last purchase price or fixed supplier price, while items fulfilled from stock continue to use average cost.
29 August 2026
Sales buy collection discounts
You can now create quantity-based deals that apply discounts only to specific eligible items within a collection rather than the entire order. These discounts are automatically calculated based on the total quantity of eligible products and appear as a separate line item in your additional charges. This allows you to offer mix-and-match wholesale pricing while ensuring non-collection items remain at their full price.
This feature is currently available for B2B sales.

Security & login
Remember me for 30 days removed from sign in
To strengthen account security, the Remember me for 30 days option has been removed from the Cin7 Core sign-in screen. You now complete two-factor authentication each time you sign in, rather than skipping it for up to 30 days.
29 August 2026
Shipping
Ship-from location on multi-item orders
You can now map your Cin7 Core warehouse locations to ShipStation locations in the Shipping Service (Export Sale Order) integration settings. Cin7 Core then sends the warehouse location with each exported order, setting the correct ShipStation ship-from location for orders with multiple line items, without relying on ShipStation automation rules.
29 August 2026
Shopify
Overselling during high-volume sales
Core now avoids sending same-shop stock corrections for products that were just sold on that Shopify shop, reducing the chance of overselling. Stock updates to other Shopify shops that sell the same products continue as before. Previously, after a Shopify sale (especially with AutoAssembly kits during busy periods), Core could push a stock update back to the same shop that recorded the sale, which could incorrectly raise the available quantity again.
23 August 2026
Retail delivery fee settings
The Shopify Retail delivery fee setting is now available to all customers regardless of region, and is now optional rather than mandatory. You can only select a liability account for the fee, which prevents the accounting sync issues that occurred when other account types were selected.
29 August 2026
Stock adjustments and transfers
Inventory transfer barcode scanning improvements
We have improved barcode scanning for inventory transfers when a product is stored in multiple bins at the same location or has stock with different received dates. Cin7 Core now selects the correct stock to pick based on the product's costing method, instead of showing an error during picking.
29 August 2026
Stock adjustment activity log enhancements
You can now view a more complete history of your stock adjustments with new activity logs for actions performed in Cin7 Core and the API. Now, creation, completion, and voiding actions are consistently recorded, providing you with better visibility into your inventory changes regardless of how they were triggered.
29 August 2026
Stock transfers sorting improvements
You can now sort the Stock Transfers list by the Date column, making it easier to find the most recent transfers. The displayed date uses the transfer completion date when available; otherwise, it uses the creation date.
29 August 2026
Error handling for stock adjustment imports
You can now resolve CSV import errors for stock adjustments using standard error-handling options. Download a file containing only the invalid rows or the full file with error details, and choose to upload only the valid lines.
29 August 2026
Templates
Calculated price tiers now supported in invoice templates
Invoice, quote, order, pick, and backorder templates now correctly print the calculated (markup) price when "Calculated" is enabled on a Product Price Tier. Previously, the PDF fell back to the original stored tier value instead of the calculated value shown in the product screen.
This also resolves the dependent template errors that occurred when the RRP tier was blank or zero, including Price Excl. VAT, Discount, and Savings calculations.
29 August 2026
WooCommerce
Pre-release version support
WooCommerce actions such as downloading orders now work when your store runs a pre-release WooCommerce version. Previously, these actions could fail with an error stating the WooCommerce version was not supported.
29 August 2026
Xero
Xero integration authorization improvements
We have improved the error messages for Xero integration to help you resolve authorization issues when syncing manual journals or running reconciliation reports. If you encounter an authorization error, ensure the user who connected the integration has the Advisor role or Reports permissions enabled in Xero.
